“Are you still watching?” If you’re reading this, the process is called align honing. This procedure is intended to correct any misalignment of the main bearing saddles in the block. As the hone spins, it is also moved back and forth, gradually enlarging the bearing saddle diameters back to the required dimension. This process is just one of the many steps we take in our engine building process to create an engine that is not only more powerful, but also more reliable, than when it left the factory.
