Disassemble, inspect and clean, reassemble, just one step in the AMS process. Every step is just as important as the last. In the case of the oil pump, there are no spare parts available, only replacement assemblies. Meticulous care is taken to clean and reassemble these V10 oil pumps to an even higher level than when they left the factory.
Why do we do this? Leave no stone unturned. To ensure there are no contaminants in the oil system and to have a clean slate from which to build from. With a verified clean oil system, the team can continue down the line in the build process.
