The 7-speed DL800 Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) found in the Audi R8 w/ S-Tronic and Lamborghini Huracan is one of the most advanced automotive transmissions ever created. As the name implies, there are two clutches with which the transmission can use to preselect the next gear before the first clutch releases the previous gear, allowing for gear shifts several times faster than what is possible with a manual transmission. This dual wet-clutch design allows for lightning-fast gear changes — measured in milliseconds. With this level of precision engineering comes the need for expert service to keep it running smoothly at both stock and high horsepower levels.

All disassembly and reassembly of your Audi R8 or Lamborghini Huracan DCT transmission is conducted by our highly trained team of transmission technicians. This group of AMS techs is specialized to conduct everything from routine DCT repairs to high-performance internal transmission upgrade installations.

All DCT transmission components requiring cleaning during your repair will be done so via our Omegasonics ultrasonic tank. Ultrasonic cleaning works through high-frequency sound waves transmitted through the liquid to scrub clean the surface of immersed parts. The high-frequency sound waves agitate the liquid solution of solvent at 40 kHz, and cause the cavitation of solution molecules.

AMS utilizes the same high-end diagnostic tools as the Lamborghini/Audi dealers do in order to provide our customers with the same level of service that they expect. These specialized tools allow us to see Transmission Control Unit (TCU) data that can be used to efficiently diagnose potential issues inside the transmission.
