A little while back I was contacted by a customer in Peru inquiring about building an ALPHA 12 GT-R. Rather than send us a car from Peru he opted to buy one brand new one locally and have us ship the car to him when complete.
Shortly after finalizing the build specs a beautiful 2013 Black Edition White GT-R Showed up at our door step. Little time was wasted before we dove into building this wonderful specimen.
AMS shop foreman Scott Priebe quickly went to work on tearing this brand new 2013 down.
Out comes the trans and off to Sheptrans it goes!
Thanks to the miracle of editing the trans is already back from Shep with a full ALPHA 12 spec service.
Now its time to tackle the intercooler. Scott instals our new Race FMIC kit
With the engine back from being assembled Scott bolts up the ancillary items to prepare it for its install.
Intercooling piping getting all buttoned up including a sneak peak at our ALPHA cooling kit.
All buttoned up ready to make power.
And last but not least the power numbers. Being that this customer lives in Peru we were limited to using only 92 octane pump gas. Despite this we were able to make great power!
92 Octane numbers – 934 whp and 678 ft lbs of torque
Shell URT race gas numbers at only 33psi – 1248whp and 869 ft lbs of torque!
The best part is the car does NOT want to stop making power. Even close to 8000 RPM the motor just wants more and more.
