At the end of last week David Kern and his AMS Hill Climb EVO made the journey all the way from Colorado for some last minutes upgrades in preparations for the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Among various small pieces the list of upgrades also included a new build AMS 2.3 stoker engine with 11 : 1 compression to give Dave the extra bit of power to help him storm the mountain.
The team worked around the clock the entire weekend making sure all is ready for the race, finale of which was a late night tuning session which ended at 1 am today! The new setup was good for 618 ponies to the wheel on our new Mustang dyno! Needless to say Dave left Chicago with an ear to ear grin and we wish him and Allison the best of luck at the race this weekend.
Here are some quick snaps from the weekends madness; a dyno video will be out shortly!
