Job Mission:

Responsible for assembling finished products for the Kitting Department. The Kitting Department is responsible for the following:

 

Building and assembling kits

  • Receive items and build assembly ticket from Inventory Clerk
  • Check to make sure all items are included, and counts are accurate
  • Assemble, pack, seal, and labels products
  • Bring finished product to Inventory Clerk
  • Confers and corresponds with manager to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
  • Performs inventory of equipment, raw material and fluids required for assembly
  • Responsible for suggesting methods to improve area operations, processes, efficiency and service
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

 

Quality Control

  • Assist with inspecting inventory upon receiving shipments
  • Measure dimensions on a random sample of each shipment to ensure components conform to our standards

Responsibilities


  • Technician will cater to the specific needs of each build order efficiently and accurately. This must be done within AMS/Alpha performance requirements.
  • The ideal technician candidate must be able to diagnose malfunctions, as well as perform the necessary repairs for them.
  • Mechanic will perform vehicle repairs within their current capability/skill level.
  • In depth examination of any vehicle under current supervision, to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended.
  • Clearly documents and records work that is performed on the repair order under his/her supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with the designated service manager or advisor when the above adjustments and additional work is needed.
  • Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician / service manager.
  • Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service manager.

Qualifications or Requirements


  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
  • Advanced knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems
  • A valid driver’s license

  • Ability to read  engineering plans and/or CAD drawings, identify project feasibility and trouble shoot.
  • Ability to use and maintain basic shop equipment (i.e. mills, lathes, tubing benders, slip rolls, shears, plasma cutters, band saws, cold saws).
  • Experience and training in the automotive field with excellent understanding of automotive mechanical systems.  Ability to perform actual work on cars (i.e. build, install, and test fit parts) a plus.  Experience in race car team environment major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design parts and assemblies in CAD, create drawings for manufacturing.
  • Maintaining and organizing small to large scale projects from concept to manufacturing and release.
  • Working with the engineering technician and engineering manager to ensure project completion.
  • Thorough documentation of project development using tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat, and basic photography.
  • Perform and maintain up to date market research surrounding the project and platform they are responsible for.
  • Coordinate with vendors for parts quoting, problem solving, and manufacturing related communications.
  • Effective communication skills to work successfully alongside team members and external vendors throughout the development process
  • Caters to the specific needs of each development project. This must be done within AMS/Alpha performance requirements.

Shop hand Wanted

AMS is expanding! It is an extremely exciting time to be around our shop! With our rapid growth we are finding we need even more help. So, we are looking for another shop hand. In this position you will basically be in charge of keeping the shops clean, strapping cars on the dynos, cleaning engine parts, running errands, and a lot of miscellaneous tasks. The great thing about the position is it’s a way into AMS and if it seems like you would fit well in another department moving up would be very likely! Many of the senior AMS staff started out in the automotive industry as shop hands. We are looking for someone who is positive, knows at least the basics when it comes to cars, has common sense, can multi-task without forgetting things, and someone who is organized and can complete tasks in a timely fashion. Custodial Engineer Wanted

Job Mission:

We’re looking for a highly motivated team member who is willing to manage all cleaning for our facility, and to rotate into other positions throughout our company as help is needed. Some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
  • Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, offices, store entrance areas
  • Empty trash cans for proper disposal
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaners and equipment
  • Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
  • Assist our production team with packaging products
  • Assist our shipping and receiving team with receiving and sending products
  • Assist our inventory team with preparing orders and organizing our inventory whenever necessary

This is a great position to rotate through several positions at AMS, and is a great stepping stone into joining one of the teams as our growth continues. This position will be roughly 60% janitorial and 40% operations.

  • Some prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Interest in cars or the Motorsports field is preferred
