The Dodson 9/9 Plate Clutch Pack and Dodson A & B Clutch Baskets

Dodson has developed this 20 steel plate and 18 friction plate clutch pack to be used in high horsepower street R8 and Huracan DL800 applications with occasional drag racing and road race usage. The Dodson 9/9 Plate Clutch Pack is rated for 150% more torque over the factory clutch pack and all friction discs incorporate cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance. The best part is the Dodson 9/9 Plate Clutch Pack is designed to significantly increase holding capacity while steel keeping OE-like drivability and noise levels.

Additionally, the Gearworks Stage 2 transmission utilizes upgraded billet baskets from Dodson for improved strength and reliability. The OEM baskets are notorious for breaking at the spline section and coming apart at higher power levels. The Dodson billet A & B baskets replace both factory baskets with extra strong billet aluminum pieces, resulting in exceptional strength and removing a common failure point on the DL800.

Titanium and Billet Aluminum Upgrades for Future Servicing

The AMS Gearworks Stage 2 DL800 Transmission is fortified with key components that prioritize preventative maintenance, ensuring long-term reliability and performance. The Dodson Billet Trans Pan enhances oil flow and reduces aeration while improving heat dissipation, helping to maintain optimal transmission temperatures and preventing overheating in high-stress conditions. The AMS Performance Titanium Bolt Kit mitigates the risk of oil leaks by replacing the stretch-prone OEM hardware with reusable aerospace-grade titanium and chromoly steel bolts, providing a secure seal that withstands repeated servicing. Additionally, the AMS Billet Filter Housing eliminates the vulnerability of the OEM plastic design, with its durable 6061 aluminum construction and leak-resistant Viton O-ring seal. This design also allows for transmission fluid filter changes, whereas the OEM pan and filter is entirely non-serviceable.  Together, these upgrades proactively address common wear points, minimizing the likelihood of costly repairs and keeping your transmission running smoothly.
